Questions specific to this position

Does my shore-side security licence count?

It may not transfer directly; shipboard security requires its own training set. During the document check we work out which training is still missing.

Are weapons carried?

Crew on merchant vessels do not carry weapons. The security role is control, patrol and procedure.
