Ultimate responsibility for the vessel, the crew and the cargo. Navigational safety, legal representation, port and inspection relations and crew management all converge on the master.

Responsibility is not bounded by watch hours. Inspections, port state authorities and correspondence with the owner take a significant part of the day.

How do I know which berth suits me?
Your certificate, sea service record and trading area determine it together. Once we have seen your documents we tell you plainly which tonnage and area we can look in.
Can an agency find a master's berth?
Officer and master berths require a direct relationship with the owner; not every agency has that network. If there is no suitable berth in our channels we tell you so — we do not string you along.
